Job Description

Corporate Debt Products and FIRM analysts perform intensive qualitative and quantitative due diligence of credit risks faced by GCIB loan portfolios. A CDP / FIRM analyst will: ? Evaluate the financial performance ofcorporate / F-I clients through analysis of economic conditions, industry performance and borrower’s performance relative to peers, management and corporate governance quality, incisive financial statement analysis using financial ratios and established models;
? Determine the key credit risks and mitigating factors for the client / transaction being evaluated;
? Responsible for the accuracy of internal risk ratings and ongoing tracking of credit quality with the objectives of improving the credit quality and return on capital of the portfolio;
? Provide recommendations to onshore Portfolio Managers on credit facilities within designated limits after ensuring that they are consistent with the borrower’s requirements, underlying risk trends and the bank’s credit policy guidelines. Analysts will also be required to discuss and formulate appropriate lending structures with the Portfolio Managers for mitigating credit risk;
? Manage credit commitments to ensure that they are consistent with the bank’s business needs and objectives;
? Work closely with other business groups to handle financing needs for the clients consistent with business plans and the bank’s risk appetite and policies;
? Work with experienced Portfolio Managers to evaluate risk and monitor an industry portfolio; and
? Research, write and present financial and industry analysis impacting credit decisions.
