Job Description
Develop capital equipment sales (crushers, screens etc) opportunities. Develop value add customer relationships, all sales related aspects including proposal preparation, discussions and finalization of agreements. • Calls on customers such as aggregate producers, mines contractors and engineering houses at quarries, mine sites, principal offices and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective clients of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.
• Reviews tender invitations, plans and other customer documents.
• Develops and prepares quotations, estimates or projected increases in production or improved profitability from customer’s uses of proposed equipment or services.
• Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Draws up sales or service contract for products or services.
• Plans and implements sales and service programs to promote the companies products, improve competitive position in area, and provide fast and efficient customer service.
• Confers with potential customer to ascertain equipment, supplies and service needs.
• Advises customer on types of equipment to purchase, considering such factors as costs, space availability and intended use.
• Reviews articles in trade publications to keep abreast of industry developments.
• Resolves customer complaints regarding equipment, supplies and services.
• Develops and implements sales objectives and action plans to accommodate the region’s strategic plans.
• Provides sales forecasting for assigned customer base and sets performance goals accordingly.
• Maintains close relationships with customers to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates.
• Assists customers with product and applications training.
