Key Skills :  A With the launch of 3G, the TSM will be responsible to appoint new exclusive DSE & Promoters. Both of these are new to Idea and will require special skill sets. Through these new entities he will ensure that the retail channel is educated on what 3G is and what are the various 3G plans and services that are offered by Idea. His primary responsibility will be in placing the dongle and other devices stocks in the market and ensure that they get sold and activated.Customers do not have complete knowledge about the emerging technologies & the benefit they can derive out of these. For this education & handholding, this resource would be of immense help. Which will be done by the promoters under the supervision of the TSMChallenges likely to be faced by the TSM: • New skill sets will have to be acquired by the TSM as similar jobs are not common. • Continuous upgrade/ refresher on new technological changes along with new device models & Operating Systems. • Immediate recruitment and training of the DSE & Promoters.

 Job Description
To achieve the 3G device (ex. Dongle, handset) gross additions targets through various channels, primarily retail & canopy activities Acquisition of new device subscriptions • Introduce, implement & monitor sales schemes for distributors & retailers for data cards and other devices. • Educate the retailers with regards to the new 3G plans for these devices. • Continuous, timely & clear communications to channel on products, services • Ensure dongles & other device Stock is maintained as per norms and market potential. • Plan canopy activities with DSE for achieving targets.   Supervision of dedicated Device DSE • Ensure that dedicated Device DSE is appointed as per Device CSS norms by playing an active role in selection & recruitment of the DSE • Ensure that Device DSEs are inducted well into the system and also undergo training program as per plan. • Monitor performance of DSEs on daily / weekly / monthly targets • Educate DSE on the new tariff plans and updates in the products & services. • Create beat plan & canopy activity planning for the DSE in association with distributors   Manage the Promoter program • Ensure that 3G promoters are appointed as per Device CSS norms by playing an active role in selection & recruitment of the Promoters. • Ensure timely and proper training to the promoters. • Create beat plan for the Promoters with the help of team leaders wherever available. • Monitor performance of Promoters on daily / weekly / monthly targets   Channel Management / CSS • Retail outlet expansion as per market potential and CSS norms. • Regular dealer and market visits. • Facilitate resolution of issues raised by trade. • Ensure proper handling of the logistics, documentation, and claim settlement processes. • Monitor the DSE & Promoter numbers and market working as per the CSS norms.   Supervision of non exclusive DSE • Work with the pre-paid TSE/TSM in areas where there is no exclusive device DSE for the following. o 3G device & data education to non exclusive DSE. o Target planning and monitoring.   MIS • Data card and device sale tracking to be maintained for the entire zone. • Maintain reports to track the stock level and sales at the retail outlets. • Promoter wise and DSE wise performance reports to be tracked.
