REGIONAL MANAGER, NORTH

? Based in Delhi
The client is a leading 3PL organization that operates in Multiple countries. As Regional Manager you would be responsible for the management and profitable operation of logistics services throughout NORTH/ SOUTH region by maintaining good relations with these customers, providing quality service, and delivering improved logistics support. The position has a responsibility to develop the business to the point where the organization reserves exclusivity of contract.
Reporting to the General Manager, the position directly supervises 500 staff, primarily at the Site/Shift Manager level. The role also entails the management of, and responsibility for, vehicles and/or warehouse equipment. The geographical size that is covered makes this one of the largest regions to manage.
You would be expected to develop and recommend improvements to transport and logistics system, processes and practices, including new technology support, in order to improve operational efficiency and productivity in particular safety, environment and quality. In addition to this, you would be responsible to identify new business development opportunities, and progresses these to the stage of proposal or contract preparation. You are to ensure agreed measures for profitability and other Key Performance Indicators for customer sites are met.
