Job Description
? A result-oriented professional with qualitative experience in Metal mining operations
? Possess in depth understanding of various mining methods.
? Proven abilities in co-ordinating & leading variety of people and projects with an ability to develop strategic plans.
? Deft at examining and working towards minimizing the impact of mining on the environment.
? Experienced in preparing and maintaining various reports on the mining and excavation works.
? First Class Mines Manager’s (R) Certificate
? Possess working knowledge on ERP & SAP environment.
? A forward thinking professional with excellent relationship management skills & abilities to work under pressure.
? Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.
? Using techniques to determine the best method of mining & planning the location and development of metal mines.
? Planning the height, placement, and type of excavating equipment, as well as returning the mining site to its natural state after the deposits have been exhausted.
? Undertaking Risk assessment, Accident analysis and implementing safety improvement plan, operations Audit of existing Mines.
? Implementing Mining statute with least cost and lean manpower in Mines operating with out-sourced equipment and manpower.
? Training Mining Officials, Staff and competent persons as per Mining statute.
? Providing computerized operations and monitoring philosophy totally integrated with the ore-body model and Mine design.
? Carrying out pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, and control the cost of the operation.
? Handling projects relating to identifying potential block, planning and executing detail of metalliferous ore exploration.
? Anchoring end-to-end implementation of projects including works scheduling, monitoring progress of work to ensure timely completion without any cost or time overrun.
? Handling advance planning for resource mobilization & manpower deployment.
? Co-ordinating on-site project activities including appointing, overseeing the performance of sub-contractors & material suppliers and ensuring compliance with quality assurance plans.
? Collecting & disseminating information related to project planning, captive mining blocks, promotional drilling etc.
? Overseeing the removal and processing of stone, rock and minerals from a mine, mine development such as tunneling, vertical development, related infrastructure facilities.
? Checking the quality of the stone, rock, minerals.
? Inspecting the mine for dangers and recording that the mine has been inspected and that it is safe.
? Ensuring the Health and Safety Act, the Approved Code of Practice-Mining and Tunneling, and the Resource Management Act are all followed.
? Guaranteeing resource consents are granted, and that council requirements and regulations are followed.
? Monitoring the environmental impact of mining.
? Managing tendering, financial administration of the mine, including budgets, accounts and sales.
? Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, contractors, clients, shareholders, corporate managers, state and central government agencies.
? Managing general shift operation I/C.
? Handling all materials procurement through SAP etc modules.
? Completing all legal compliances
? Working as per international guidelines for safety and health of the mine.
? Planning operation, quality and safety management, Preparation of modified mining plans on Surpac.
? Preparing capital and revenue budget and cost monitoring.
? Accountable for Quality system management, liaising and statutory compliance.
