Job Description
Responsibilities
To develop quality communications solutions of medium to complex level to meet customer business requirements. The process starts with the collection and analysis of all pertinent data essential to understanding customer requirements. The role takes responsibility for solution design inclusive of the underlying technical architecture, service level agreements, overall solution costing, delivery planning and representation of that solution as required. Customer facing activities such as customer presentations and negotiation in conjunction with the account manager is expected. • Provide presales design support for medium - complex level solutions for prospects and existing customers requiring Orange Business Services Solutions.
• Advanced technical skills, particularly in the area of
¿ MPLS Networks,
¿ WAN optimization,
¿ IP Telephony and VOIP solutions.
• Ability to design and Lead customer workshops. Provision of skilled presentations to prospective customers on the technical solutions and services. Ability to liaise with customers unaccompanied and be a recognized authority on orange Business Services products and services.
• Transferring customers’ requirements into a solution based on Orange Business services solutions. Owns technical design from concept to subsequent implementation.
• Work closely with the customer to understand their business objectives and compelling criteria to better shape the Orange solution. During solution development and negotiations of scope change, present the solution as required to expedite achieving a high level of agreement. Finalize the baseline through discussion with the customer to gain agreement on technical and operational areas.
• Perform an assessment of the opportunity and assist in the solution qualification
• For complex opportunities produce a “first cut, rough order magnitude (ROM)” model of the opportunity for inclusion within the qualification review
• Accountable for the production of an optimal solution meeting customer requirements utilizing Orange Business Services capabilities directly or indirectly through Partners
• Lead the overall solution securing the contribution of all relevant Orange Business Services BUs’ service delivery organizations, Partners, Third Parties and supporting entities.
• Create, modify and maintain ownership of the technical design (High level and low level) for the chosen solution for both new and existing customers
• Responsible for obtaining the necessary validations and approvals for the technical solution. Accountable for identification and quantification of the corresponding gaps and risk factors (technical, costing, SLA)
• Participate in internal bid reviews: design to cost review, solution review and post contract handover review. Lead the production of the consolidated technical solution proposal documents including presentations as required.
• Take the lead in articulating the solution design, fit to customers requirement and the value proposition in presentations to customers. Ability to interact with CXO level in the customers organization
• Support the contracting process as the solution expert assessing customer desired changes relative to the impact on the solution and associated consequence of these changes.
• After contract win, ensure transition from Pre-Sales to Post-Sales via a kick-off meeting and if required via support in the launch phase of the project - virtual member of implementation team for design issues
• Contribution to the Knowledge Management - Bid Management Repository
• Stay abreast of technical issues, options and advancements within the internetworking industry relevant to orange Business Services portfolio.
