Primary and Secondary Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities • Lead the execution of CM solutions projects across all life cycle stages of solution definition, architecture, development, deployment and support. • Jointly conceptualize and define roadmaps for CM solutions in consultation with the CM engagement and CM strategy owners. • Define detailed software development estimates/schedules in consultation with the PM team and track execution. • Understand configuration management (CM) needs of IC designers, document them, and write functional specs. • Architect, design and implement highly optimized CM use models, scripts and flows that automate tasks and positively impact design efficiency of IC design teams. • Document newly developed CM use models, associated scripts and flows. • Support migration to new and improved CM use models. • Function as Level3 support for resolution of CM use model production issues. • Make periodic CM use model releases after incorporating required changes as per customer priorities. As per need, reuse or wrap existing scripts and flows to rapidly deliver CM solutions. • Provide inputs for CM infrastructure and scripting support to CM operations teams for enabling efficient and defect free configuration and management of CM infrastructure. • Ensure strong focus on building quality into all intermediate work products produced within the team and finally delivered to customers. Support and Secondary Responsibilities • Assist the CM engagement and strategy teams with early prototyping of solutions that can address future business needs. • Work with geographically dispersed teams as an extended/remote member. • Evaluate new CM related tools and products. • Assist in global support and deployment of standard CM use models and timely planning of right sized CM infrastructure for successful use model deployment. • Provide training for customers in CM scripts and CM use models.
